    I can hear what sounds like popcorn/Grinding coming from the inside of my car! Help?!?

    I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent. Recently, going over a speed bump, my car started making a noise that sounded like grinding/popcorn. I went to pepboys and had it checked out, they could not find a problem... and on the way home the noise went away.

    About 2 weeks later, my started making the noise again ... (sharp turn maybe?).

    Going at high speeds (freeway/highway), the noise goes away ...
    It does infact make the noise turning at low speeds ...

    Could have a worn drivebelt or faulty alternator. Or a bad power steering pump. Does it make the noise when you're turning at low speeds?

    Could have a worn drivebelt or faulty alternator. Or a bad power steering pump. Does it make the noise when you're turning at low speeds?
