    HELP with BIOLOGY QUESTION!?

    are lipids the only class of macromolecules that contain fatty acids????

    short answer no. There is a combination of proteins and lipids (lipoproteins). These are classed due to density as ranging between very low density lipoproteins to high density lipoproteins. The are carried in the blood and usually contain numerous chemicals includings glycerol, fatty acids and cholesterol. Looking at it from another point of view you could argue that lipids are the only form that contain fatty acids as lipoproteins contain them.
