I should explain. I KNOW that all gay men aren't camp but it just annoys me that the majority of gay men on tv have to be in order to get anywhere. My best friend is a gay man and is about as different from Graham Norton and Graham Carr as possible.
From presenters to characters in soaps to reality tv contestants, almost every time a gay male is on tv he is as camp as a row of tents.
Is this because people aren't comfortable with a 'normal' gay man? TV bosses have a responsibility to portray different groups responsibly.
Anyone agree?
