    I'm not joking here - I need to lose some weight this Summer?

    I am starting to gain a lot of weight. I am 15, and I am feeling really selfconscious.

    This Summer, I am determined to lose maybe even 1 stone - I am not sure how many pounds this is.

    I am about 5' 5'' and I hate the shape I am and the way I look. It might be partly genes, but I am sure that my lifestyle is not healthy enough either.


    I only have 1 month left of school, but I am going to be working hard this Summer.

    I am going on a Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Walk in a few days, but after that, I have to work on my health.


    I can't do any fancy diets because I have to eat around my family. My mother wouldn't let me use diet pills, and I do not have a treadmill or bicycle machine.


    What do you suggest I eat in the holidays?

    P.S. I hate doing press-ups and sit-ups. I like doing a real Sport. It is more interesting, like swimming or horse-riding. I dislike running.

    walk between 30-60 minutes everyday, eventually after a few weeks you will want to run a little bit during your walks, and after 2 months you will look totally different, doesn't hurt to do some jumpin jacks after your walk, gradually increase the walk/exercise every week so you don't get bored, the idea is to make your heart rate increase and burn more calories, start slow, and watch it grow add something each week
