How do you know you need to adjust the valves?

Is it in you owner's manual??

I wouldn't screw with it for another couple years, at least. You apparently don't know what you are doing by the way you asked the question anyway.

If you get them too tight, the valves can burn with inadequate time to cool on the valve seats.

if they are hydraulic valves then you can,t adjust them. if they make noise then you have to replace the lifters.
