I know that you can get dehydrated of salt if you work out in the heat without any water. But I always hear that people these days eat too much salt(a average dinner contains half a days worth of it). So how hard is it to lose a dangerous amount of salt and the need of sport drinks. I go to the weight room 3 times a week for 40 minutes, and run 2 miles 3 times a week. I bring a 20 ounce powerade to both of these and drink a lot of it each time. So explain the dehydration and if the powerade is worth it or not.
