is it possible to get a false negative pregnancy test and still be pregnant?

i started having pregnancy symptoms in early june. i know how my body is when pregnant because i was before(had an abortion for medical reasons). 2 weeks after the symptoms began i tested and test was negative. 2 more weeks past tested again still negative with same symptoms. 2 more week still no positive. would go to dr but no insurance and need to make sure i am actually pregnant b4 i go and spend money. i have been on bc for 7 years straight(except 4 months i was previously pregnant) no issues no weird periods or anything except once after 5 years. i decided to do a sort of boot leg test and stopped taking my bc for 3 day(early period would always come on when i did this) and nothing happen which was extremely weird. so i stopped taking them for going on 4 weeks now and still no period....has anyone experienced this b4 or know whats going on??

You'd get a positive result by this point. What type of tests are you taking? First Responses worked wonders for me!
