you should always check for these things before you leave the shop now your going to have to take it back

.........well, um, if you want to type in 10, type "1" then "0"...and so on....duh!
Because I'm renowned for being a nice guy, I'll buy it off you. Since it is broken, I can only pay you 1/10th of the price (see, my numbers work) but it's better than throwing it away.

No, It's not a reject all computers have 9 number keys and 0.
If you need a number higher than 9 you use two keys.
Example. so you would use keys 1,0 = 10. Key 2,2 = 22.
