I have a 1992 Honda accord LX. Does my car have a factory stereo amplifier?

If so where is it located?
I have a short in the front right speaker. I have tested with a different speaker and get no signal. I was going to run a new speaker wire but need to know if i need to run to an amp or directly from deck to speaker. Any Ideas ?
