98 ford taurus odrive light starts blinking on and off when driving sometimes

and then the car slows down it? it doesnt cut off but it slws down and gets loud , and i have to stop and let it rest . slowing down and overdrive green light starts blinking on and off whats going on

Transmission problem. Gotta get it checked out. Take a look at the fluid start the car up. Run it through all the gears leave in gear for about 10 seconds each. Then put in park and check tranny fluid while the engine is running.
