If you have an individual plan with sprint can you add a line without changing the plan?

You can add an second line, but it'll be considered a 2nd account. Your dad's account will be the main account, and he has the option of making it so only he can make changes on your account. There will be just one bill, and it won't affect his contract or the date when he can purchase a new phone for a discount.

I don't recommend that option though, because you can get a family plan for a lot cheaper than to have two seprate plans.

I would only recommend having two seprate plan if your dad doesn't want to pay for a unlimited everything plan for both of you.
