What is Omnibus Private Rental?

So, it's a long story. But, long story short, my friend and I were outside on her porch staring out at her parking lot (she lives in an apartment complex above many a popular bar); we observed a couple leaving one of the bars then, after getting into their car (parked in the lot), backing straight up into her car and fleeing the scene. We got the license plate number and called the police, but apparently the car is a rental car. (We live in New Haven, and the car's plate was a New York plate.) The rental company came up "Omnibus Private Rental" on 1150 State Route 25 North, Wayne, NJ 07470. We cannot find any information at all on the rental company and neither can the police. Does anyone have any advice? Is there anyone we can call or anything that we can do?
