but i remember this average everyday kid goes off into some other world or something and on the way he has a magic carpet of some sort? and he meets this girl and they kiss at the end. hes a teenager with dark hair and this girl has looong brown hair.

and theyre in a big sand storm of some sort or something. ive been trying to find the name of it for years. help me out (:
