My Harley Davidson Wide Glide will not take any throttle?

I have a 1340 Evo that will idle but when given throttle will bog out and stall.
I Have replaced the diaphram slide assembly ,the accelerator pump diaphram and the vacuum switch.
Have also adjusted the float and got a new pin. On top of that all also tried adjusting the fuel to air ratio with no results. After all of this took the carburetor off my friends bike and put it on mine then it ran like it should.

Sounds like you have some carb cleaning and/or rebuilding in your future.

It could also be an air leak and John knows nothing and never worked on anything.

Sounds to me that evo gremlins have struck again. first. let me offer my condolences on your owning the most unreliable, highest maintainance, and quirky engine ever put on a bike. now as far as what to do, i would suggest at LEAST having your carb cleaned, more likely rebuilt. personally, i would trade it or do an engine swap, ive worked on way too many HD evo's to even think of owning one

If you swapped carbs, and it then ran fine, it sounds like you MAY ave pinched the diaphragm in your carb when you changed it....from the description of symptoms, this sounds exactly like what a ripped/pinched diaphragm does. Pull the carb top off and double check it.

EDIT...Also double check that you installed the needle, seat and spring correctly...
Needle in hole (NEVER EVER use any shims under the needle to raise it!!!)
White plastic spring seat/retainer on top of spring
Spring slipped over the retainer (NEVER EVER shorten the spring for "less tensioner/faster response---shorter springs are STIFFER and actually create slower response AND BINDING!!!)

Also...if you had the main jet and emulsion tube out, did the small, silver "needle seat" that sits on top of the emulsion tube fall out?....if it did, MAKE SURE you installed it back in correctly!!!...you will see that one end has an inward taper on the inside diameter....this end goes IN to the carb first, this I.D. inward taper is what the needle slides into.
