Has anyone modified their "billboard" license plate bracket to lay flat or at an angle? Looks like it could be done, but I want to check before I attempt it.

I did that mod last weekend.
It worked out great - the only change I made was to swap out the hex head bolts with button heads. I needed to make that change so the license plate would sit flatter on the mount.

This is a very nice factory looking mod. I used a DPDT switch to open my two garage doors.
Can someone explain how two wires on the lock/unlock switch can operate two garage doors? If pressing the switch either way causes a closed contact it can't be connected to both contact points of the opener since it will open both doors.
What am I missing? Unless the third wired is used to create the two separate contacts.
will it work with a 3 bolt mount? I've got an 09
First and foremost, if you use my idea please remember to safety up. Eye Protection and gloves (I sliced my thumb on this project). I have been looking at ipod mounts for my 06 Street Glide. I decided to make my own and it cost about 13 bucks. and thats cause I bought a nice kuryakan 10 dollar mount. I went to home depot and in the building materials they have simpson strong tie products. it is a td 35. it is a 3x5 piece of metal. Then I went to hardware and grabbed 1 pack of 1/4" mirror mounts and a pack of #8 bolts. I laid my ipod on the metal put the mirror mounts where i felt they should go. traced, trimmed, painted, and mounted to the handlebars. alot better than spending 50 to 100 for a mount. This works for my nano, but im sure you can adapt it to your ipod or other mp3 player. my nano slides in and out thru the top. check out the pics. Crash!!!
Very slick ! Thanks for that it is helping me with another project.
Made a low profile upright backrest for my streetglide wanted somthing different to go with my low profile seat instead of the large harley ones.
I opened one of my remotes, mounted a 1/8" mini jack to the cover and soldered 2 wires from the internal pushbutton switch to the jack. Then I mounted a small momentary pushbutton switch to the bottom of my left windshield pouch (I have the 3 pouch setup). On a short piece of 2 conductor wire, I soldered a 1/8" mini plug to one end and soldered the other end to the pushbutton switch in my pouch. I just put the remote in the pouch with the 1/8" plug plugged in. I can reach it with my left hand, and the remote can still be used elsewhere by pulling the mini plug. The switch is out of the weather underneath the pouch.
Has anyone put the Radio Shack siren on a 2010. I tried to hook it up like the 09 and the siren goes off constantly.
Put it on my Limited. Piece of cake.
