I installed these on my Ultra about a week ago.....huge difference in riding comfort. the quality of these is excellent and they were very easy to install (20 minutes). One of the best mods I've done so far. Thanks HG for a great product

I bought these about a year ago and love them except for the rusted chrome bolts ;~(>

I've just ordered rider floorboard extensions for my FLHTK - best bit, it went on the wife's Paypal account - sorted
I puut them on my FLHTK Friday tried them out Sat. GREAT,,, lots more room for the size 10s A buddy of mine got some other brand and was bummed that he didn't come here, he payed about the same price as I did and no chrome
I was fortunate to win a set of floorboard extensions for my CVO Ultra in the weekly drawing. Tom was very prompt in shipping them out and the packaging is very professional. The install was pretty straight forward. I found that lifting the bike with the jack made it much easier to remove the front stock bolts. Mine were loaded with threadlock and Gorilla Joe must have tightened them, requiring a longer handled ratchet to break them loose. To ease the installation, I chased the female thread with a thread tap. The extra height provided by the jack was critical to doing this. Also the ball allen that the directions recommend is pretty important.
Unless you know the extensions are there, you'd think the floorboards were stock - until you ride with them. Positioning of the boards with the extensions is much more natural. Your feet actually fit on the boards instead of half the board. I didn't notice any downside regarding access to the break or shifter. Moving the boards outward should reduce lean angle in the corners to a small degree; however, I have not noticed any problems in the twisties. If your bike is lowered in the rear like the Street Glide or Road King Custom, you need to be cautious until you learn what your limits are.
I rate this modification as an A+++, and definitely recommend it to others. Many thanks for Tom at HarleyGoodies for offering the weekly drawing.
It seems like a lot of you are installing them yourself. I'm not to handy with tools, but is this something even I can do? Can someone give a quick "how to"?
Hey Paul,
What year is your bike? or you can just give me a call and I'll give you a quick run down on how it's done.
All the best,
Tom
